Coreen Gutierrez is the founder of Second Spring Acupuncture & Wellness in San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square, where she provides individualized care with a special focus on women’s health and fertility.

She attended the prestigious American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, where she quickly found a professional home. During her time there, she served on Student Council and later on the Board of Directors during ACTCM’s merger with the California Institute of Integral Studies. Following graduation, she completed an invaluable mentorship under her mentor, a respected clinician in the Bay Area, whose thoughtful, patient-centered approach continues to influence Coreen’s practice today.

Every patient is treated by Coreen personally, allowing for continuity, deeper clinical insight, and treatment plans that evolve alongside each patient’s needs. Appointments are never rushed, and herbal prescriptions are custom formulated whenever appropriate rather than relying on standardized formulas. She remains committed to practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine as it has been practiced for centuries: by treating the individual, not simply the diagnosis.

Coreen also recognizes the realities of life in the Bay Area. Her recommendations are practical, sustainable, and designed to fit into busy lives, helping patients make meaningful progress through small, manageable changes over time.
